About me

My Photo

I’ve been into programming since I was about 9 or 10. It all started thanks to my grandfather, who was a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy working on electronics for submarines. He handed me my first programming book, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I’m originally from sunny Florida, but I moved to South Alabama to attend school and decided to stay. Now, I’m the Director of Software Engineering at Acivilate, where I’m dedicated to improving the correctional system through innovative technology.

Lately, I’ve been diving deep into the cloud, focusing on my AWS certifications. I’ve already earned my Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Cloud Practitioner, and AI Practitioner certification, and now I’m looking forward to pursuing the Machine Learning Engineer Associate certification.

When I’m not immersed in code or studying, you’ll probably find me relaxing at the beach, exploring virtual reality, or stargazing. I’m also a big fan of tennis, football, and Formula 1. I love spending time with my dog, traveling, and I’m an avid reader. Beyond that, I’m passionate about mentoring and always eager to help others, whether it’s guiding someone through a tough coding problem, sharing my love for technology, or contributing to open source projects to make a positive impact in the developer community.
